Which would you choose and why?

The literature I've read about the Lexicon says that it can run only two effects at once. Does the TC Electronic unit have the same "limitation"? Is it a limitation? Have I mixed up something?

Thanks!

The M-1 has two effect engines: One true stereo pair, but it can be configured to "mix" the effects so it is like two pairs of effects IF you are willing to sacrifice true stereo separation.

It IS a limitation.

I found the M-1 to be very ordinary in sound, and very fragilly constructed. I would go with the Lex if I bought another one. The devil you don't know is less threatening than the devil you do know !

I've posted this exact comparison before... I did an A/B between the 2 units...

The M*one is NOT EVEN CLOSE...... the Lexi is smoother, better sounding, and has more realistic reverb qualities.

My LXP 1 has better sounding reverbs than the M One does.

I was VERY disappointed the TC would put out such a crappy piece of gear and use their otherwise pretty good name to push such crap.

Oh well.....Ya'll want cheap stuff, and manufactures are providing it and hyping the hell out of every lame box on the market.

Pay a little more and always get the "next up" unit from what you think you can afford. This way you are satisfied for much longer. Once you have a good foundation to judge from, you can start considering lower end boxes and actually know what you are getting for the money.

Geez....

thanks, fellas, for saving me from such a costly mistake.

I do appreciate it!
