Hello.. I am trying to use my tascam us 800 with an Intel s5000 VSA server running windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. The latest 64 bit driver from tascam installs and works for a short time but crashes the windows to blue screen. When rebooted, ( with the us-800 turned OFF ) windows will see the driver when the us-800 is turned on again but, when opening cubase5 the driver is dropped and computer goes BLUE SCREEN !!! RATS !! This server is running as a normal desktop for all my apps and works perfectly for every thing except this us-800. My Brother has an ACER 3.2 Quad running windows 7 64 bit and his us-800 works perfect since day one !!! Can anyone come up with an answer for this problem. Its obviously a USB bus problem as my us-800 works flawless on my old windows XP 32 bit machine. Also I have a tascam us -200 and it works with this s5000 vsa server flawlessly !!! any suggestions !!! Thanks !!

I don't know if this is the same issue I have had, but I notice that if I plug the US-800 into a USB 3.0 port I have issues.
It needs a USB 2.0 port to work properly. See if that makes a difference.
Luckily for me, my computer has 2-3.0 ports AND a 2.0 port.

Hope it helps!
