tascam tsr 8 15 pin dsub to computer?

I recently acquired a tascam tsr 8 reel to reel. What i am wondering is, can i connect the 15 pin dsub in the rear of this unit to my computer which also has a 15 pin dsub. Is this possible any and all help is greatly apprecitated..thanks so much!

Well, you can, but I suspect that the use of it would be very limited.
Isn't the tascam dsub for a remote control?

A 15-pin dsub on a PC? Aren't they usually 9 or 25 or something?
