Tascam MS16 problem

I know it's been a while since this thread has been engaged, but I just bought an MS 16 about seven months ago and have been recapping and upchipping the cards with LME 49860's. I also did the mod Jim Williams suggested for the bias cap so I can use 499 tape. About half of the channels are working and sound great, but the other half do not print to tape. I am getting signal on the meter with the input and sync outputs switch engaged, and output signal back into my console from each of these cards. But of those channels, nothing is printed to tape when recording, i.e., no playback, no meter.

I sure hope this is just the relays because that's an easy and cheap fix.

Also, channel 1 meter does not work. When I adjust the trimpot all the way CW, the meter and peak light jump once. Is this a bad trimpot or something else? IIRC, I may have already swapped the trimpot from a spare card (I have a complete parts machine, minus head stack).

Any input would be appreciated (pun intended)

Have you tried to change the relay K2 on any of these cards? That'd be my first course of action. Do spare cards from you parts machine work ok in these channels?
Just out of curiosity, did you do a comparison between a modded channel with a stock one?
