Tascam M520 supply cable

Hello,my first post here at HR and happy to be a part of this fine community....A local college offered up (2) Tascam M520 mixing consoles including the (2) PS520 power supplys, a single (1) connecting cable as well.I thought I would ask here thinking that someone would point me towards a website or electronic service center that may have one. I donated one of the consoles to a local community center which has an after school arts program (music,dance,perfomance) the console will be used to teach the kids analog recording and mixing....thank you..

I would also be very interested in this power supply cable. I teach Sound Engineering at a college here in Melbourne Australia. We are throwing out our Tascam M520 mixer. It has been removed and the power supply cable lost in the move somehow. One of my students wants it and we are happy to give it to him.

I have looked into a bit. There are quite a few wires going down that cable and some of the current ratings seem high which sort of demands a heavier guage for those. The plug is hard to get too I think. Hard wiring is an option but would be fiddly and take a while I should imagine too. I am trying to track one down but not having much luck. It seems such a pity that it cannot be used. Here is hoping though. There must be some stock somewhere left over from an era gone by.

But it is still a slightly old fashioned Tascam sound and you have to take that into consideration. I have mixed quite a few projects on this mixer or similar vintage and after a while you realise the Tascam sound that is present. Especially after working digitally for a while. There are some very interesting plugins out there that can do a fine job of emulating these old channel strips and the like.

But for teaching recording and mixing the Tascam M520 is a beauty and has done a fine job of that for many years here at our college. It is still all working perfectly too. Well not now anyway.
