I want to use this mixer for a basic PA board, but it has no reverb. I've taken the spring unit from my Fender Dual Showman, and plugged from the reverb out to the effect return, and from the effects out to the reverb in. No matter what knobs I spin, I get no reverb. I know the reverb unit works, and the cables are OK.
Anyone familiar with this mixer. Am I setting this up correctly?

The Accutronics type of reverb tank requires electronic circuits in the host amp for its operation. It cannot work by itself. If you want a line level spring reverb amp, look for a Pioneer 202 on Ebay.

I think you can use the headphone output on your mixer to 'power' the reverb unit and it should work fine... heard of lots of people doing it that way.

Yeah, a plain reverb tank won’t work at line levels, so you can’t apply it via effect send/return. Really be best to pick up a cheap second hand digital reverb from ebay, etc. Even an old Alesis Microverb II would be better IMO.

Yeah, the Alesis would be better. The Pioneer is cool if you absolutely must have real spring reverb, but it sounds cheesy compared to a more modern digital unit.

That seems to work just fine!:)

does this apply to a spring reverb unit like the Demeter RV 1? I'm thinking about buying one...

The Demeter has its own amp built in. Just plug it wherever you would plug any other effects box.
