Hi Forum, just joined.

Anyone else out there got a DM3200?

I've just got one and being new to digital mixers would be relieved to know there's others out there that might offer advice, especially as the Tacam Forum closed down the day after I joined it!

Cheers, :)

I have one too. Bummer about the forum. How are you running yours? I have it sending 24 Channels via TDIF and word clock into a MOTU 2408 MK3 into SOnar 5P. Works great so far...only issue has been getting SOnar to remember the midi settings for the remote layer.

Great desk!

Hi ZenFly,

Thanks for replying.

Glad to hear you're not having too many issues. Must admit mine seems FANTASTIC! Works with Cubase like a dream, and now I've got my head round the mixer after a few solid days of study and head-scatching I'm really pleased. The TC Works reverb is really high quality.

I have also got the IF-FW/DM Firewire card, though at the moment it doesn't work at all until Tascam release the new firmware - promised for a few days' time. So I'm really looking forward to the 24 ins/outs, whereas at the moment I'm just using it with the analog OUTs of my M-Audio Delta 44 soundcard.

My only tiny niggle so far is that you can't link the analog trims at the top of the channels as you can with an analog desk with dedicated stereo channels - makes getting the levels exactly matching tricky, though I do appreciate that they can be further trimmed in the digital domain..

Finally, also awaiting my meter bridge which should arrive next week. Rather than just cosmetic I think it will prove really useful as it's a drag swapping backwards and forwards between screens when I want to keep seeing the 'meters'.

All in all, I'm well pleased, and it certainly looks well cool!

Meanwhile, I received an email from the defunct TascamForums saying he's trying to resurrect on a subscription basis. He's talking about $15 a year minimum, which I must admit I'd happily pay for the resource. So prolly a good idea to keep checking it. Meant to be up again by Dec 4th.

Cheers, Ren.
