Tascam ATR 60/8 dbx problems

I bought a tascam atr 80 tape recorder recently and realised that without the dbx noise reduction the recorder wont function properly. With research i found ways to fix this by bridging the dbx connector but with my poor electronics skill i need a bit more information and help with doing this.

If anyone could give me some help it would be greatly appreciated

Have you tried calling tascam parts out in California to see if they have the jumper plug in stock?

(323) 727-4840 from Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm Pacific Time.

If so, that would probably be the safest solution to your problem.

Also, don't attempt emailing them as they're horrible at answering them in a timely fashion.

hahaha, ain't that the truth. Emailed about a manual 6 months ago. Still waiting.
