Tascam atr-60 /16 remote problem

sorry about my english.

i want buy a TASCAM ATR-60/16 ,it's looks fine,



but have the wrong remote: RC-65 ,AQ-65,and the fucntion remote in a stand.i think it's for TASCAM MS 16 1'INCH.



plug the AQ-65 in and they work fine,so ,i think i don't need RC-65,but I DO need the fucntion remote!

the fucntion remote between TASCAM ATR-60 and TASCAM MS 16 i think is the same but different connectors.

can some one give a help?can I rig a convertor and connect the remote to ATR-60?

i DO gona buy a ATR-60 sevice manual at somewhere.but i just don't konw if the manual provide the details about the pin assignments,and maby i need a MS-16 sevice manuaL too?CRAZY!

Zhou,

I believe you are correct, the ATR-60 and MS-16 have different connectors for the Record Function Control Unit and while the ATR manual is comprehensive, unfortunately, it doesn't appear to give the pin assigns for the connector plug. Also, you will probably find the AQ-65 more useful than the RC-65.

I suggest you contact Tascam (either Japan or preferably America) and ask if they can supply the necessary information as I don't know of any other way of finding this out.

Wow...so somebody is selling the ATR60 but they aren't including the function control panel? What happened to it?

thank for reply!i have contact Tascam and no answer yet.
my friend who have a tascam 58 send me a manual.i can find the pin assginment info in that manual,
ATR 60 is more professional than 58,so i think it must be in some page.

if someone have that manual...blabla...

would be a great help in my musice life.

I'm sorry but the ATR-60 manual doesn't have a similar diagram for the Remote Function, although there is something for the Accessory Connector (AQ-65)....................BUT, there may be something to help you in the technical diagrams so I will attempt to take some detailed photos of the page in the manual and post them here in the next day or so.

BTW, where are you located?

i'm in beijing,china.here is not many chance find real to real machine.so...

my only problem is RECORD FUNCTION REMOTE's connector.

any info,like pinouts and schematics of this connector on the back of the ATR-60-16 will help a lot!
also the MS 16 info about the FUNCTION REMOTE...

In beijing,generally speaking，the real to real machine is belong to the government。like tv station ...
when they move to digital,they sold this analog machine as spam.The person responsible for selling this machine don't know this machine at all. so often i saw real to real without remote and mixer without psu...they just don't know...the price is according to the weight of iron!!!
A few years ago,this machine is cheap that you can't image!
but now the price is up.
this ATR60/16's seller is a Audiophile，he buy this machine without remote,and another time he saw the remote in the Flea Market
and he buy.
this is the story about MY TASCAM ATR60/16.
