tascam 488 questions...

I recently bought a tascam 488 at a yard sale and have some questions.

1) is this model different from the 488 mkII I see referred to on this board? Is it the precurser to the mkII?

2) anyone know where to download from the web a free manual? I've seen them on sale on the web for around $30 but I only paid $25 for the deck.

1: Yes. The original 488 only has two mic/line inputs and 2 band (high and low) EQ.

2: No idea.
