Tascam 424mk111 recording queastion

Hello this is my first post...

I am about to record my band live with a few mics into my 424mk111 . I am thinking of recording on DIRECT as apposed to Buss as I normally record,
My question is...do I still pan hard left and hard right as I record? ,The direct recording info in the manual does not make it clear ...thanks

When you record in Direct mode the Pan knob and Master fader have no effect.
