Tascam 38 problem

Ok I have two 38,s One is in pretty descent shape but the other has problems.
All channels record but on playback channel 2 is 6 db down on level and output. And its not a channel card
All playback channels sounds a litlle dull on playback.
The deck needs a new pinch roller. Its gone to tar
One of the reel clampers has a broken off ear but it still works.
The back panel has quite a few cracks in it where UPS dropped it, But I have glued that back together.
And the inside is pretty much all covered in tabbaco tar. One of the worst I have ever seen.
So what do you guys think. About the only two things that have any value are the capstan motor and the face plate.
I want to clear this stuff out but am not sure on this 38. Strip it for some spare parts for my other machine or what?

You should keep the parts that you're sure are good, for your other 38.

I could use the hinged head cover and 1 or 2 channel cards. If you want to part with them.

I could always use heads for re-lap practice.

PS you should be able to de-grease the channel cards (I think but don't know). Meters?
