Help I have a tascam 2488 and need to know what i'm doin wrong i want to record more than one track every time i try to arm multiple tracks the other tracks disengage i dont want to link tracks either this is for a drum settup 4 mikes in.....i have been recirding on tascam units since the late 70's i currently have a tsr -8 reel to reel that i love but i need to know the 2488! help is greatly appreciated

Are you sure they're disengaging? It might seem that way because only the lights for the last track you assigned an input to will light up. But if you gp back and press down input A, it should light up along with the channel you assigned it to.

sorry to be off the subject. but i wanted to ask if anyone knows how to set the 2488neo up for a mixdown/premaster. there are no instructions in the manual except; 'set the in/out points'.

the 788 i was using, broke, but the manual was very explicit and detailed about this. i cannot find that the 2488 has remotely anything similar to this concerning the subject. if you would possibly just jot down the instructions i'd be very thankful.

Just ask your question once. Don't flood the board with the same post. I deleted all your other duplicate posts and left this one.

It's actually better if you started your own thread rather than bringing up old posts.

Welcome to the site.

on page 69 of the manual it is telling how.however, you can go to proaudiodvdtutorial.com for the online instruction or order the dvd for tascam 2488 neo. the cost for online is $29 or dvd $29 plus shipping.
i trust this should suffice.
