Tascam 234?

Well...
Is Tascam 234 a good machine to play with? I called to owner and he says it was in perfect condition 5 years ago when he plug it last time. The price of T234 is more than attractive, 150 usd.
What the community thinks about this piece of gear?

If it still works, it should be a great 4 track cassette with specs equaling or bettering the best portastudios TASCAM ever made.

That said, the seller's statement was very open ended, saying that it worked 5 years ago when he last used it. That's like saying, "good bloody luck to you pal, I have no idea if this thing actually works".

Also the seller mentioned one well known person this Tascam used to belong. That person 10 years ago joined to majority and the seller keeps few personal effects in lovely memory of him and Tascam, the dust collector, is one of them but going to be sold.
Tomorrow I`ll come and check its working condition and if no problem I`ll post a high resol. photo of this machine here. I swear!
