Hi.

I’m looking for a tape recorder that has a line-out jack.
I want to transfer audio to my computer.

Price Range: $40/US area.

I’ve been shopping around for one of these, but so far I’ve been unsuccessful. I’d appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks.
Jenny

Yo Jenny:

I hate to tell you this but for 40 pezzutos, you will get the sound quality of a long piece of string strung between two cans.

As mentioned, above 100 pezzutos and UP will get you a quality deck. Depends what your ears determine as "quality."

But, good luck.

Green Hornet:p :p :p

Hi guys.

So you guys are saying there isn’t much available under $100. That stinks.

I understand that the quality of a tape (through Line-Out) copied to my hard drive won’t be that great, but it’s better than what I’m doing now:

Ear phone jack à Mic Jack

Does anyone know where I can find a tape deck with a Line-Out?
Are there any specific brands you guys recommend?

Thanks.
Jenny

Just go down to a BestBuy or similliar home stereo store. They should have Cassete deck components. Any major brand will work fine. If you want a step up get a Nakamichi.

Or spend 'bout 65-75 on a TEAC dual-deck cassette recorder!
But like others have said, it won;t sound like much!
Good Luck anyway!

You COULD take the boombox apart and make line outs from the speaker outs, but I wouldn't suggest it. It would work tho.

Er, no........ you feed a powered-out such as the one used to drive the speakers and you WILL blow your input circuit to the ceiling.....

Tyler....... stop with the shit you know nothing about........!

It depends on how powerful the boombox is. It can work. Like I said, it's not a good idea.
