I hope that this is posted in the right place, and that someone can help me square this matter. I had the T-Racks24 Mastering program installed, and running fine, on my system - up until recently. The problem is that I had to format my system, due to an encountered (and unrelated) problem. When I reinstalled T-Racks I found that the only thing to surface, pretty much, was a black screen. Uninstalling and reinstalling, again & again, only served to bring about the same problem. Would anyone have a clue as to what might be wrong - and what I can do to get T-Racks functional again?

Contact the software manufacturer. They want their customers -- of which you are one -- to be able to run their products trouble-free, even despite a regrettable reformatting of your system.

Some programs default to demo mode when re-installed and not re-registered, but my sense is that no demo mode exists for T-Racks and that's why you're getting a black screen.

This if from T-Racks site, give it a try.

Windows: When I run T-RackS, all the interface parts are not visible but I can read all the green words. What's wrong?

Some graphic cards (especially ATI Rage class) cause this bug with T-RackS, when in 24 bit or 32 bit "True Color" mode.
Please change your screen settings to 16 bit "High Color" mode.
If this does not solve your problem try upgrading your graphic cards drivers with the last version provided by the card manufacturer.
Remember that T-RackS requires at least the above mentioned screen resolution to work correctly. If you run T-RackS with only 256 colors you will see a warning message that suggests you increase the number of colors.

SSscientist & TimboZ,

Thanks to you, both, for your replies. I am sure that my video card is nowhere near being a great one, as it is the 'stock' card that came with our system. But the program (T-Racks) was working just fine on it before the reformatting. I have the very same video display setting, and all should be working well. But I cannot defeat that black screen.

You did remember to reinstall video drivers, right?

Our system has a built-in formatting/full system restoration process. So, yes - that has been done.

maybe try and install a newer driver release... it doesn't explain why you are having issues, but its worth a shot anyways.

I'll give that a shot. And thanks.

TimboZ had it. My going to the 16 bit 'High Color' mode (from 32 bit 'True Color) did the trick.

I thank you much (and a note of thanks for ALL who took the time to respond to my query).
