Has anyone used this software. Does it work well? Better than hardware compressors like the fmr rnc? I would be using it with sonar 3 so do i need it and whatnot? Thanks!

Lexicon PCM's (why not all of 'em?)
I'm sure it's just a matter of taste. There are probably those who disagree with me on this. It's all IMHO, YMMV, YADA, YADA...EleKtriKaz said:John, is the UAD really that good? I love my Waves plugins. How much of a difference would I notice with the UAD? Thanks.

Oh Yeah, You need a Mac. but then there is always SIR.
In the grand scheme, $1000 for decent software and pretty good emulation of $3000+ pieces of gear is a bargain.abm123 said:alright i have been looking at prices for wavelab and uad on ebay and such and they are sooooo expensive! Could i buy a used copy and have registration shifted? There has to be some way to get usable software at less than 600 to 1000 dollars! Are there any free (or near free) plugins that work well with mastering? Also I need a good soft snyth database or module specifically with good strings.
I buy alot of my plugs from guitar center.abm123 said:well 1300 dollars is what i have just spent in the last month to get a nice studio setup and i just dont have another 1000 for plugins. Are there other ways to get cheaper software? (ie. ebay?)
