synth module

I saw a thread going the other day about synth modules where the poster was misunderstood... and everyone was saying that his post made no sense... anyway, there was some good suggestions for cheap synth modules on that thread.

I've done a search and can't find it anywhere...

so, can anyone suggest a nice synth module, something reasonably priced...

I want to go from the outs on the module into my analog mixing board, then to tape...

ok, i think it was a suggestion for a roland module of some sort.

It might have been my post about a 2nd keyboard and someone suggested to go with a sound module instead of another keyboard.
That's what I did and purchased the Roland Fantom XR for $700.
