I just dumped some old 8 track recordings from my tascam 488 through my firepod into my ibook.
I had to do it one track at a time since I don't have enough cables to do it otherwise.
I recorded a quick guitar note at the beginning of each track so that I could sync them up. After I got them onto the computer, I put the files into Peak and precicely cut them at the beginning of each "sync" tone.
Now when I put them into logic they start out in sync and slowly start to go out. What could be causing this?
I figured if I recorded the same tone on every track at the same time I could easily sync everything up. Is it possible that each time I dumped a track it somehow played at a slightly different speed?
Ahhh- the joys of cassettes.
Thanks
