I dont know the difference beetween cubase sx1 and sx2 and why get sx 2 when your multi tracking from a motu 828?

thanks for helping

I don't understand your poll at all... All versions of Cubase ARE multitracking......

SX2 has many performance and interface improvements that are worthwhile over SX1.

ok whats your problem? some programs take up more of your proccessor, maybe if all your doing is multi trcking with outboard effects it would be more sensible to use the program that doesnt use up 25 percent more of your systems recorces just to do one simple task if sx1 is capabil of multi tracking just as effeciently as sx 2 and the improvements dont effect that aspect of the program then sx 1 for multi tracking would be your answer. does it make more sence to you now. i thought there were experienced inteligent people around here

What's YOUR problem????

I don't think you have a clue as to how recording s/w works... based on the nonsense you just spouted.......

go awaydude you have no idea what im talking about, if you dont understand by now you might aswell go home its a simple question, IF YOU HAVE NOTHING POSATIVE TO SAY THEN GO PICK YOUR A$S SOMEWARE ELSE

i am being mean

i dont meen to be negative but i am obviously not understanding the full process of how things are working and im learning it as i go, i dont expect to know everything, but i dont expect to get poked at because of it. everyone was where i am at one point so have some patience with people who may not be as smart as you think you are. we are all on the same planet here lets try to help eachother understand, expecially the yunger generations, those are the people who are going to control the music your kids listen to when they drive to school on the bus

Don't expect too much help if you piss-on the very people who have the knowledge and skills to help you......... doesn't take many brains to figure that one out.

I for one, have a considerable amount of experience with both SX1 and SX2 - but based on your bullshit comments, I'm not inclined to help you at all.... if you're lucky, someone else may take a crack at it - but I suggest you lose the attitude......

Thanks for playing.... buh-bye...

I believe sx2 is better at using your resources more effectively. Is that what your asking??

You just burned a bridge that you probably shouldn't have by the way...

specifying multi-tracking in the poll didn't much much since to me either. I'd just say if you're happy with SX 1, stay with it.

yea thanks man, thats all in a nutshell, sorry it was so confusing of a question for some people to comprehend

thanks, though i was thinking that sx 2 would be better at managing cpu performance while multi tracking but i heard that it demanded more of your system recorces than sx 1 as most updated versions of software do, what i wasnt sure of was if the it balenced out or if the amount of extra recorces it used outweighed the upgrades. makeing the updated version and its upgrades more cpu hungry than usefull. sometimes new isnt necisarily better, for example "fender"

that was my concern

thanks

Im not sure what the difference in cpu usage would be be, but i wouldn't imagine it being THAT much more. But if it is a concern you may wanna upgrade your computer to make sure that you always have more rescources than you use on the average. good luck with things.

Hate to brake it to you (although i see im not the first to mention it) but you screwed yourself now :). Blue Bear has ALOT of knowledge and can be very helpful. But insulting him like that has pissed him off so now you wont get any of his help. All he said was that your poll didnt make any sence.
And it doesnt!
You realy need 2 option SX1 or SX2
Have a look on steinbergs web site. Should give you some info about SX2 and SX1

With an attitude and short-temper like that, you're not going to get anywhere in this board. AND you just pissed off one of the most useful and experienced members.

Nice one.

If you upgrade to 2.0 and save a project in 2.0, you will not be able to open it in 1.0.....just a little info
