Just finished the remix/remaster of this blues rock shuffle piece (think "Little Feat") and I have a very specific question: Is the mastering "too hot"? Do you "hear" the glass ceiling?

Of course, ANY comments about anything are warmly appreciated - but the mastering levels are a little more pressed than I normally push because that's where the "glue" seemed to lock the song - but I wanted to make sure ear fatigue hadn't set in and I'm overly desensitized to the loud.

Thanks all!!

Love all the guitar sounds. Love the vocals. Levels sound great. Some excellent blues soloing.

OK the lead vocal might a little "brassy." Maybe tone down the mid 2K's? Just a bit. Real good singer tho. <<second listen - I didn't get the brassy feeling. I'll leave the comment just in case. See what you think...>>

There is a bit of treble on the upper end of the bass that I think is sticking out unnecessarily.

Little click at :57. Maybe an edit?

I will check it out - but in this, you'll hear what I was talking about with the gits in your song. I've got these things panned out nearly to 80% L/R w/ 2 instruments. It lets the space in the middle open up for the vocal to sit in. I DO have QUITE a bit of high end on the bass to pop it. It's got nearly 9 db on the high end to poke it through the mix (and some other tricks). Good mention, and thanks bud!

I'll check out the click mentioned and see what it might be. Thanks for that too.

Did you hear the limiting on the mastering (does it sound "glassy")? Is it too hot or acceptable to your ears?
