jitteringjim. Glad you like the sound of guitars, I'm not sure yet. They are not EQ'd much, bit of low end rolled off. I find them a bit, I don't know.. abrasive maybe. I decided to use a different guitar than the usual Guild. It's a Segovia, low end guitar but sounds nice acoustically. It is a 6 steel string guitar... Segovia rolling over in his grave. Korean guitar. I used a MXL603 with the dead side (a challange) pointed at my computer, and the live side whereever I could get it to sound ok. Around 12 to 16 " from the 14 fret, mic body being parallel to the floor. The snare is fairly dry, I might be able to change it's character a bit when I do a final mix on it. Thanks for the listen.

drstawl. Thanks for the vote on the vocals. I'm really never sure about them. As long as they are close in pitch, and have some bit of feeling to them I guess is all I can ask. The guitar 'scratchiness' might be the exact thing I don't like about them, but some EQ might 'mellow' them out a bit. Or maybe their just too loud.

langleyt. I'm sure you can think of something bad to say, come on try! Actually, the Guild is in there during the quiet passage, left channel, forgot about that. The rest is the Segovia. Yeah backups are the plan, although I won't overdo it. Thanks for the nice words, appreciate it.
