I've got some holidays coming up and i'm thinking i will remodel my studio
room sizes 10'6" x 11' x 7' tall
I know its not ideal but thats what i have to work with.
I was thinking i'd build a new desk with rack units on top at the back (sloped) there have been many a good design i have seen right here and thats the kind of thing i want to build to (no lack of wood working skills i was a wood worker for 15 yrs)
Under the desk is going to house more rack units and the computer.
I will have a metal roller cart for my reel to reel (when its fixed grrrrr)
I intend to make new bass traps cloud and panels around the room

Is there anything i should definitly not do?

Do you have any ideas that may help me remodel?
All ideas welcome
thanks
Rich

Thanks Ethan
unfortunately i have two large book cases in the room to contain my books and some media and small gear.
I will dispense of one of them when i finish my living room eventually.
Thanks for the tip though i intend to build a lower than usual desk as i am somewhat vertically challanged anyway and it will be more erganomically suitable for my needs. The monitors are planned to be at the right hiegth for my lug holes. lol

Book cases full of books and stuff make interesting defusers, you may find that having the book case improves the sound.
