You're just as much entitled to your opinion as is anyone is entitled to an opinion regarding equipment. If SP doesn't work well for you?.... fine.... state the reasons why SP isn't a fave of yours.
It could possibly be because you're recording in an acoustically poor room, or there's something else in your signal chain that is causing problems, or it could be that the SP mic's you are using are not best suited for your voice or particular acoustic guitars.
If you have a problem with any mic be specific when describing every aspect of what you are recording, your signal chain, and enviroment. Put up clips for others to listen to and offer their opinions.
The majority of folks here are simply home recordists as I am myself. It's a hobby for most of us.
If this were a forum for model airplane flyers...I'm sure that there would be at least one jerk who would claim that the fuel most of you use to fly your model airplane sucks and that his plane could fly higher and longer than yours. Dumb analogy....I know.

Recordingpro signs on and simply posts "Studio Projects Sucks" fully aware that it would immediately become controversial and cause a near riot situation.
I swallowed Recordingpros bait just as many have swallowed it also. Shame on me. Shame on us all!
What bugs me the most is that Recordingpro fails to admit:
1. He was the first to sling profanity. He attempted to make it appear that everyone disagreed with him from the get go and got nasty toward him. Go back and read page 1 and determine for yourself who got off on the wrong foot first.
2. He was the first to bring up Alan Hyatt's name in a deflamatory manner, which made it absolutely clear that he perhaps has an axe to grind with SP and Alan Hyatt for personal reasons of his own and is masquerading in an attempt to undermine SP and Alan Hyatt's credibilty.
Chess asserts that Recordingpro probably has no axe to personally grind with Alan Hyatt.....I say bullshit to that theory.
Pros are far and few between to be found. Harvey is a pro. No one (other than a complete fool) would argue otherwise or ignore his input and insight.
I hope that the next time a shit stirrer like Recordingpro appears that we all simply ignore the poster.......even if were to be a "Behringer Sucks" topic.
I own own a Sytek MPX-4A 4 channel preamp that I bought last year. I was excited to get it. I also discovered that it wasn't an end all/cure all purchase that would replace or perform better than preamps already in my possession. I admit that I had expectations....but quickly learned otherwise.
The point is....I've learned what I can achieve or cannot achieve with the Sytek or every other damned piece of equipment that I have ever purchased.
I spent nearly a grand for the Sytek and wasn't totally thrilled.
And I never created a thread stating........"Sytek Sucks"
