It would be perfect, wouldn't it? Except I don't spend much time here nowadays, having gone and got myself a life and all ... I certainly couldn't be arsed doing all this. I've come close to being banned before anyway so I wouldn't be testing Dragon's patience, what's the point?

I'm interested to know who it is though, because it doesn't seem to be any of the usual British posters here ...

The whole SP topic is way too touchy for me to drag up to be honest ... there's a history with me and it (and yet I still don't work for PMI or have received any freebies off of them :mad: ).

people, such as the late great Harvey Gerst, make cheap ass MXL mics that cost $49 sound like Neumanns, because they know what they are doing.

i have no experience personally with studio projects, but i hear they are nice.

Whoa, did I miss something here? Why is it I'm always the last to know?

It is funny that you're talking about me using cheap $49 mics right now. I just finished converting a wav file to an mp3 of a bluegrass band I recorded a couple of years ago.

I used MXL 603's on all the instruments, except for the upright bass, where I used a $35 Behringer ECM-8000. Turned out pretty well.
