you don't get it - you must think i have some sort of emotion about it. I don't. I'm just telling it like it is and just look how squirmy you guys get. Like a bunch of cry babies

who are you to decide how it is. sounds to me like you frustrated by the lack of knowing how to use your tools.

I love that all of these threads get started by ignorant Americans who see their manufacturing industry failing to compete and try to save it with ludicrous racist comments.
The use of the phrase "utter shite" and "tripe" make me think it's probably a brit. I have my suspicions based on the use of the word "little" preceding all of the insults and the nonsensical referrence to Nazis. ;)

So you hate Studio Projects mics... Move on. Some people like 'em, some people can't afford anything else, some people hate them. It's not a big deal, really. If you're saying you can never find a reason to use these mics, just sell them to someone on here who could use them. I'm sure very few of us are convinced that the C1 is the best LDC on the planet - but it does what it does better than any other mic does it. Y'know?

And just out of interest - who would you rather listen to: Harvey Gerst, Grammy winner Ted Perlman, or 'Recordingpro'??

It's like poking a hornets nest - Tell the truth about Studio Projects and look how every one starts buzzing around trying to sting. Funny how everyone loves Alans shite

SP mics sucks?
Maybe ... in the same way neumann and other expensive "sucks"... :

...with bad singers, bad musicians, strings instruments out of tune, untreated rooms , bad performance in recordings...
A friend mine (very ,very good singer) recorded all voices in his second album with the very cheap Sansom C03 ,with excelent results. Any one that heard the songs, could think: what mic is, U87, TLM 193 ,C12 ....

Blah, blah, blah....yeah right. I suppose you have flying monkeys coming out of your arse too. Live in your fantasy mate - live in your fantasy

Arse, eh?

Yep, that clinches it. He's a Brit.

Either that or an Antipodean.

You initiate this thread.
show us an example of your recordings with SP mics.
I´m interested to know if the mic is really the weakest thing in your "recordingpros"

i promise you this dude doesnt have a finished product that he can show, hell he's probably using a cracked copy of some software and the stock soundcard he bought with his pc. he made a tape of himself with a old casette recorder and NOW he's a recording pro....not hardly

I doubt this person is being serious at all.

I bet he's getting a kick out of everyone giving him what he wants though.

Yeah right Mr. Mackie (slacky) with an "e-machine" and "nuendo" hmmm let's see I'll put 2k worth of software on a $25 computer.

Just one of my mics is worth more than your whole rig

maybe so.....but i can get the results i'm looking for with the shit gear i have cause i know how to use the tools..... unlike you you thin a 2k mic will automatically make you have great sound.....you can have a u87 but if you dont know how to use what that 87 is connected to then not only did you waste 2k then you wasted the time of the person who pays you to know that kinda shit

"I've got a pair of bottles with all the caps - a couple of u87 - a cactus - baby bottles - rode stuff k2, ntk - the studio project mics (c1,b1) 4 groove tubes mics gt44 and gt33 and too many other mics to write

pres - some robbies - 1073 - portico"

Congratulations,recordingpro!
Then, instead of shows only negative aspects of SP gears, open 5, 6, 7 threads and talk GOOD THINGS about some mics and pres you have (and all will agree with you).
Bad idea, no?

that would have been grand but too late now though
- the minute i mentioned something negative about SP every tosser on the board started throwing a fit and spewing all sorts of negative shite behind the scenes - so I mearly started responding in the same measure - but instead of hiding like the rest of the cowards i kept it right up front for all to see
