Nah I got given 2 of them by a dealer friend who thought they were sooooo great and all the rave... I've spent alot of cash with him so he was hoping I would spread the gospel of SP...then i made him sit down and actually listen after using them....He only sells them to people who don't know better now.

I love that all of these threads get started by ignorant Americans who see their manufacturing industry failing to compete and try to save it with ludicrous racist comments. No offense to the rest of you - just that's the only type of person who starts a dumb thread like this.

Britain lost its manufacturing long ago, and as someone working in the MI industry, I am here to tell you that China as a country of manufacture has NO effect on the quality of the final product - only the individual workers who build a product do.

And just out of interest - who would you rather listen to: Harvey Gerst, Grammy winner Ted Perlman, or 'Recordingpro'?? :rolleyes:

I didn't initiate the topic. I simply stated my opinion on Chinese mics without launching a personal attack.

Insofar as your troll comment, you might want to take a look at your own agenda, rather than point fingers.

I cannot imagine what it would take for someone to get so heated up about microphones. I mean seriously, you must really not have much of a life if all you can do is rant and rave about chinese manufactured mics. I imagine that most people's reaction to listening to a microphone that they didn't like would be to just not use it. But not you Mr. pro (and I use that term very loosely. I'd love to hear something you "professionally" recorded with your uber-mics).
Obviously, this is keeping you up at night and possibly ruining your sex life. If it's enough to make you hurl insults at people and start a whole thread based on the fact that you hate that they exist, then maybe instead of arguing with you someone should just refer you to a therapist or soemthing. It seems like you could use a little counseling. You need to relax.
 
I see mics like a crayon box, everyone of them has a use, you just have to find it and the bigger the box you have the better. I know I didn't use Salmon too often but when the time came I was glad that I did because the other colors just weren't perfect. A $10 mic even has its time and place.

If that's true, then you've made your point. Why not just leave it at that? Why must you keep returning just to argue and insult? Sounds pretty EMOTIONAL to me.
