So essentially, Gidge, you'd be kissing Alan's high moon at high noon.:D

The better to bonk you with.

My, but what a big cushy windscreen you have!

(Hey, am I really the first one to post who actually has these mics in-hand? Do I get a prize...other than the mics themselves?)

Well, before I plug it in..

I've got a great idea for my prize!

Like, maybe a couple mic clips that will stay put?

Edit-
Whoops...nevermind...see below..

In that case, howz about another B1?

Cool.

First impression:

Just my opinion, with only a quick "check - test" through the built-in preamps in my digi001...I like these microphones!

Kinda beefy, pretty quiet, but a slight difference between the two units.

The B1 will not fit into a standard shockmount, but I discovered that I can tighten the mic clip so that it WILL stay put (duh).

Total coincidence: We were putting my SCM900 back together after installing the Dorsey mod when the box arrived ("We" equals my buddy doing the mod as I looked on). The modded mic is beefier and quieter.

Of course the true test will be how these mics perform in a real recording situation, so let the experimentation begin!

For $80 each, the B1 seems to be a good value.

Nice work, Alan!

I have no idea, but I can get you front row seats for the David Hasselhoff concert! ;)

LMFAO! I'm not sure C7sus, but I think you better get out now, and file it by mail. Looks like it's about to get mighty slippery in here!

Hey guys,it's going to get alot more slippery in a hurry. The UPS dude just dropped off my TB-1.I'm sick today so I'm not going to mess around with it too much other than plug it in and try it out.It looks like it's pretty well made, pretty heavy duty as a matter of fact.I've got a singer coming over tommorow night and i'm going to cut some basic tracks of just her and her guitar.Once I've got something down,I'll try to figure out how to post clips(I'm a big dummy)so you guys can hear this mic.Sure wish I felt better today so I could screw around more but tommorow is another day.Time to plug this sucker in!:D

PEACE

Trew,

If I'm reading your post correctly? Are you saying that you have 2 B1 mics, and there is a clear sound difference between the two of them?

SP TB-1...WOW

My first impression:holy shit!I really feel like crap today so all I did was try a scratch vocal and guitar track and from the little I've played with it I am very impressed. It ALMOST made my vocals listenable which is pretty incredible considering my singing.I can't wait to try it on someone who can sing!It sounded pretty good on the amp but I didn't dick around with it too much.I wish I felt better so I could really put it through it's paces but tommorow is another day and tommorow night a girl who can really sing is coming over.If the mic performs as well as I think it's going to I am going to have some slippery spots all over my floor!Very cool mic.

Come on! Post that "Randy" vocal, Mr. Yell! "You make me happy, when skies are grey!"
