I didn't say there was anything wrong with it. Did you say there was anything wrong with it? Who said there was anything wrong?
Nope.

I don't think that you did, but DJL said something to that effect earlier when he said

".. and not only does 797 Audio make the Studio Projects mic's for PMI, 797 Audio designed the Studio Projects mic's for PMI (along with Alan Hyatt's input... or so says Alan). IMO, I think 797 Audio deserves more credit."

DJL is somewhat accurate about the B1. I recall Alan stating that the B1 was designed by both 797 and SP personnel. What Alan did not state was exactly how much was done by whom. And I don't recall him ever saying that the C1 and its progeny were designed by anyone other than SP personnel.

To me it's all beside the point ... which I think is the point of most folks responding to DJL. What's the difference where the mic comes from or who made it or whatever? As end-users our bread and butter is in what the mic sounds like. AND if the manufacturer and designer and place of origin or manufacture DO matter then why not be fair and state all these essential facts for every mic or gear that you discuss? If such a thing would seem absurd, then I suppose my point is proven about DJL's real intentions (which is no big secret to regulars around here ... but may be unknown to new posters, making such diatribes like this all to common and necessary whenever he starts up with the SP crap cloaked in quasi-innocence and truth telling.)
Welcome back Rev E... Your pretty close about the above... except, I call the 797 Audio Studio Projects B1 mic a 797 Audio Studio Projects B1 because that's what it says on the mic, and I think 797 Audio should get more credit... and I don't see anything wrong with that. I bet if you asked Alan Hyatt at PMI... he would tell you he wants 797 Audio to get credit too... and that's why the mic says 797 Audio Studio Projects B1 on the mic... and why he talks about his partnership with 797 Audio on his webpage and etc.

I don't think I've ever read any spam of allen's either.

Yeah, well, the next time you try an SP B1 on your vocal track, pull your head out of your ass and it'll sound MUCH better!
Grow up.

H2oskiphil,

Maybe because you don't call Marshall and MXL mics "Felio MXL 990 or Felio Marshall V67G" mics.

Felio makes 'em. Or doesn't that standard hold true for anything that doesn't say "Studio Projects" on it?

It is my understanding that Marshall Electronic MXL has their own mic factory in China now.

At least Alan has the sack to put 797 Audio right on the mic.
That's what I said... it says 797 Audio Studio Projects B1 right on the mic.

So DJL . . .

You going for the world record, the continental record, or merely the regionals for most consecutive posts? :D :D

Jeez; I dunno what he said, but this ignore function sure works swell.

Cool, now that I know you can't see what I post... I'd post more messages just to drive you nuts... lol. :D

Oh my god, DJL ! ! ! !

I can't believe you said THAT about Treeline ! ! !

The thing about the Billy Goats just flat-out disturbs me. I hope that isn't true, and I don't think Treeline is that kind of person. And the part about the hampsters? I think a call to the humane society might be in order. :D

Jeez, dude, it's a good thing Treeline has you on ignore.
