Studio Preamp

Ok, question for the veterans on here. What brand & model would you recommend as a decent preamp to use in the Studio. This will be to run Guitars through etc. (And Vocals as well)

I dont have a big budget, all though I know you usually only get what you pay for.

Isnt there one out there that not big bucks, and at the same time your not ashamed to own it, and use it >? (Also, if it could be possible, Id like something thats 2 channel & 19" rack mountable. I rack all my gear whenever possible)

without a definative budget it's hard to say, but good, budget pre's like the DMP3 are RNP out there.

Get 2 of the VTB1's and get the rack mount kit for 14 bucks that you can mount them on. The VTB1's are only $99 at musicians friend...

Look into the Toft stuff if you can afford 400-500 channel. If you have a moderate budget the UA M610 is badass.
