Hi everyone!

I am considerig to build some walls im my home studio place. I read about nonparalel walls,so I came up with this plan (in attachment). What is your opinion on my plan? How would you fix it if it was your studio?

The gray walls are the walls that will be built and they can be placed any way!

It's nice that you have that much height.

If at all possible, I'd try to get some more space in the control room. Just guestimating, it's < 3m long. You really want something bigger if you can swing it.

take some space from the iso room, and the recording room, and expand your cr room. It will def. help in the long run. Any where are you goin to put your desk. That door between the CR and Iso room doesnt look too convenient.

hi!

this is new plan with bigger control room. i forgot to writ in the plan that lower left room is not used for studio puposes! :)

what do you think about new plan? is recording room too wierd now?

Thats an awkward shaped recording space. You generally want your recording space to be able to handle various layouts and be easy to move around in.

Maybe put your control room in the other corner

ho ho! this is the nice one Innovations! that is really worth of consideration! well I loose some hight in recording room with that but this shouldn't be a problem, no? and i have one little problem couse I cant' put the window into control room in your sketch, but air conditioning will fix that problem! thanks man you really gave a great soguestion and you will get a sixpack of beer if your idea works out! :)

I like that idea. Only problem I see with that is:

1. The control room is probably actually smaller volume wise (with the lower ceiling) that what you started with.

2. If the ceiling is already there pretty much, now the ceiling slope runs side to side in the control room instead of front to back - definitely don't want that.

I like the original layout but you'd just have to have less space for drinkin and hangin. The shape of the live room could be worked with.

Yes! bpape! I think so too! the celling slope is just ideal for control room. And we will make it even better with gipsum boards! what do you guys think, how long should be the control room. would 3,5 m in lenght be enough?

and another question! how to place drums in rec room, so that asimetry and celling slope won't ruin stereo picture?
