While not normally a fan of spam in these forums, the fact that this is GNU and completly relevant to the forum, I appreciate the offer :). I will check it out.

What is a "GNU license"? Do you mean the GNU General Public License (GPL)? If so, someone could modify your software, say, to run under MySQL or PostgreSQL (both of which are open-source), and distribute the modified version, right? (Not that this would be easy, or even practical.)

Just curious.

Or even better yet, a stand-alone, fully compiled (C++, Delphi,or even VB6) application that requires no external DB engine. :)

Man, I feel like Oliver Twist asking for more gruel.... :o

Yes GPL

GNU was a Acronym for GNU not UNIX guh-noo,

don't split hairs it's just a identity label.

Feel Free to translate and or upscale to SQL, i don't intend on doing that till I am satisfied with the business rules.

Sorry, I live to split hairs! :p

I think it's great that you're providing software for free. Just wanted to make sure you weren't using "GNU" as a generic term for free software. The GNU License conveys specific rights to your users; I wanted to make sure that you were aware of that fact. I am in no way meaning to say that your software is bad because of its limitations.

i wish this was in standalone. I dont have access or use access on the studio computer. Im really interested in this idea though and its great that its free.

I'm wondering if it'll work with OpenOffice Suite... I believe it'll work with any Access files... Might be worth a shot.

Open Office

Quite a bit of it will work in open office, but there are VB translation errors that need to be worked out, not a priority for me right now, after the first of the year I am considering it.
