Strings for Recording?

For electric guitars, I've always felt that the brand of string was pretty inconsequential. Guage is very important, and of course new strings sound better, but I can't tell the difference between Ernie Balls, or D'addarios or whatever else. I buy the cheapest strings I can find and change them frequently.

elixir strings for acoustic adn any ernie ball strings for electric adn i am not sure about bass

As someone stated earlier, for recirding, new strings from a major manufacturer will do. I prefer EBs myself, but for recording, new strings make the best sound overall.

Anyone who digs elixers really owes it to themself to try the D'addario EXP coated strings.... they are so brite sounding, and last just as long as elixers for 1/2 price. Also,,, DRs are one of my faves too.
