I love GHS boomers for my electric and acoustic. I use 10's on the electric, but I could stand some 11's. I feel like I get more, well... Boom from the boomers, ya know? I've gone through a quick progression, in my five years as a player, from 8's to 10's. I've noticed more tone and volume on my electric.
On my acoustic, my picks are as follows:
1. Elixirs
2. Martin SP
3. GHS Bright Bronze
All of these in 12's unless I'm playing acoustic slide, where I will use 13's. They get just up off of the fretboard...
But anyway, GHS is an excellent string manufacturer.
I have a question... What are the "jazz strings" some of you have refered to? I'm unfamiliar.
