I recently purchased a Dean EVO Special. I use it as a knock around. It has a decent tone, similar to Epi Les Paul.

What strings would you recommend for this guitar to play jazz?

There are a thousand stings out there and I haven't kept up with this in a long time.

Thanks

I used the GHS Boomers but am in a transition peroid towards Elixirs. I like the feel but having to do a complete setup on the guitar is a pain. Fat strings definitely for jazz though. A nice thick tone as if you were playing through a wall of syrup yet bright on the highs.

I'd try the GHS Brite Flats in 12-gauge. I love huge strings.

DEFINITELY GHS Boomers or DR's.

its up to you. Fat?? Probably GHS Boomers, but DR Blues or Full Tones are nice!!!

Maybe a stupid question, but I always wondered if bullet end of ball end actually make a difference. I never hear the diffence... Or does in give another tension to the bridge?

The main use of bullets is on trem guitars. Balls can come to rest in a different position after you lean on your trem arm, and put you out of tune. Bullets don't do this.
