I really would like some feedback from SOMEBODY, ANYBODY HELLLLP!!, sorry all caps guy just likes to jump infront of the keyboard sometimes. Like I was trying to say before the guy in all caps jumped in, feel free to drop massive criticism on one of my first tracks.

thanks guys.

not really feeling it

First of all, the str8 flames beat needs a harder drum and im not sure about that hi hat thingy that hits every 32nd note at the end of your bar loop. you know which one im talking about? And as far as the lyrics, you sound like most other dirty south people. i dunno, both of your beats have a weak kick drum and snare. what did you use to make your drums? sounds like an untweaked 808 kick. just curious.

I prefer not to criticize cause the "Hi-Fi" track is 48 kbps. This means it is of really poor quality so I may not hear it the way I should. If you have the possibility, convert the wav again to MP3 but this time set the MP3 rate to 128Kbps.

Peace,

(P.S.: I will keep an eye on this thread and I will criticize as soon as you put up a new mp3.)

Bitrate Problem

been kinda slow lately. I'm actually posting this from another computer. hopefully the one with my music will be back up soon (busted p supply) and I can get you guys a better mp3. thanks for looking out though

I don't know what these cats is talkin about, I'm feelin it.
..........Well, You would do better to not use factory drum sounds, you can get exactly what you want if you try to create them yourself. SPINSTERWUN also put up a link to some drum downloads. Your kick and snare should be more genuine sounding. And a melodic bassline in the first joint should round the whole thing out.

I'm really not a fan of the dirty south type stuff, but I've been livin here so long, it's grown on me so I can give an unbiased critique. I like the rap skills pretty good, the first guy had good flow and versatile vocab. Can't say much for the message though, but I understand. Both could lock into the beat just a little more.

The second cat on the first song sounds alot like these Raleigh cats.

All in all, I think it was pretty good,... but I'm not sure if I belive this is your first:p

Did I hear somebody say Fayettenam?

Str8flames sounds like meets the "dirty south" meets Dr. Who. I'm from the south and i'm feeling it. December Dirge didn't grab me as well, but the right flow would bring it all out. Give to some one who is more of a styler than lyrical like. (Ludacris/ Mystical) type

I'm digging em. I'm like HI on the Dr. Who sounds. Get some work in on the flow side and stick to what you doing.

thankz

hi-d-ho- thanks that dr who is what I was going for

me myself-- yes it was my first recorded FULL song, i had tried some tracks before , but I got some fairly discerning critical- ass catz that won't let me do anything too crazy without hearing about it.

and yes they said fayettnamm
