1 Audio Technica 4033 mic, with shockmount and case - $215.

Fostex D5 DAT machine. In very good shape and low hours on the tape heads (Fostex makes the best tape heads on the market....) $300 Remote and manual included.

Marantz CDR 630 stand-alone CDR Burner. This puppy has XLR inputs. SPDIF coax and lightpipe out puts, as well as +4 RCA out's. I have burned about 250 disks on this unit, so it is practically in brand new condition. $300 Remote and manual included. This is not like the cheaply made newer units! The casing is very rigid, and all the jacks are mounted very solid. There IS a difference between the newer products you can buy for around this same price and this unit that cost $1300 3 years ago!!!

1X Alesis Quadraverb 2. A small bit of one of the rack ears broke off, but it doesn't have any effect on rack mounting it at all. Works killer. This unit sold new for about $900 when it released. VERY nice sounding multi effects processor. VERY clean sounding delays, usable pitch effects, and reverbs with a lot of parameter control. Has +4 TRS I/O as well as Alesis ADAT lightpipe I/O. Manual is included. - $400

1X Alesis Quadraverb. In good shape. Still not a bad sounding unit at all! Great multi effects processor at this price - $150

1X Furman 40 point (that is a 20 channel) patchbay. These are an industry standard. I have not had even ONE module go bad on these puppies in over 5 years! I don't anticipate any modules will ever go bad. They are built like tanks! $75.

1X dbx 48 point (24 channel) patchbay. A couple of modules seem to have a problem normalling through when nothing is plugged in. Tom Cram offered to send me a few modules to replace them but I never got around to it. He might send them to you if you buy this and ask him nicely... I will let you have it for - $40.

1X Alesis 3630 compressor. Yup, I think they sound alright on certain things, but since I don't have an analog mixer anymore, don't need it. It very good shape. $75

1X Behringer MultiCom (old style 2 channel version). Not bad for the buck as compression goes. The old style units are much more rugged than the new stuff, and the knobs are a bit bigger. $50

1X XLR rack panel. This unit has 16 Female and 16 Male panel mount XLR jacks on a 5 rackspace metal plate. The parts alone would be about $170! Yours today for - $80

1X TRS patch panel - 112 patch points. If you have a lot of hardware that does not need to be normalled via a patch bay (compressors, preamp outputs, gates, etc.....), this is your unit. Parts alone would cost you over $300! Yours for $110.

At these prices, buyer pays shipping.

Okay, no more 4033 (pending the money to arrive tomorrow....will post again if it doesn't show in the next couple days...).

Folks, I am telling you that the Quadraverb 2 is a great piece of gear if you need a great multieffects processor. It has 2 independent DSP engines in it. Will do up to 8 effects at ONCE in stereo, or can do 4X2 in MONO!!!! This is a serious piece of effects processing that can deliver. As I am not analog bases anymore I don't have a use for it. Some other cool things about it is that the internal routing of effects is unlike just about ANY other effect processor on the market. You can put the effects in any order you would like, and each effect in the chain can get it's input from the output of ANY other effect in the chain, or from the input of the unit if you like. Each output can feedback into the input of each effect too!!! The possibilities are endless with this kind of routing control. Now, ol' sonusman is NOT saying that it sounds like a Lexicon, but you won't get even CLOSE to this kind of versatility on ANY processor Lexicon makes. The parameter controls are much deeper than any of the low end Lexicon stuff too. The converters are good sounding. etc......THIS BOX IS A DEAL!!! and I can use the money from selling it right now...be brave and buy it damnit! :D

I want to add too that I have a TL Audio Classic dual tube mic pre for sale. This is the original TL Audio unit that made them famous for tube mic pre's. It actually doesn't even have a model number if you can believe that. It has phantom power, Line/Mic level input. The Line level input can select futher between instrument level (for guitar and basses) and keyboard levels.

This is a box that can add a lot of very cool color to your recordings while tracking. It works predictably as a tube circuit (and is a REAL tube design..not hybrid) in that the sound coming out of it is very smooth, detailed, sort of fuzzy if you drive it hard. I always run a Peak Limiter after this unit, and the combo means VERY hot levels while tracking with some very smooth, natural compression from the tube.

I will sell this preamp to the highest bidder over $500 (if anybody feels like that is worth the price....:) It DID originally go for about $1k when new about 5 or 6 years ago.....). Please, I am NOT interested in any bids or offers for any less. I do not need any money THAT bad as to give up this preamp for a dime less than that. For fairness sakes, you should post your bid in this thread so that you don't think I am hiking prices in the bidding.

Aside from the 4033 being sold, all the other gear is still available. I will entertain offers, but may not take them. email me if you have an offer. I will let you know in a hurry if you are insane or not....;)

Hey Sonusman,

Nice kit - if I could afford the TL Audio I'd have it but alas...

However, what's the setup with the XLR rack panel, is it just a patch bay or are the male and females wired up at all?

Cheers,
Rich.

Okay folks. Here is a 320kbs mp3 of an example of how clean the Quadraverb 2 really is. This was the best processor Alesis ever made, and it is a shame they still don't.

Take a guess what I used it on. I am telling you guys, if you are looking for an effects box, this is a great deal on a VERY high quality unit. The Q2 graces the racks of some pretty impressive studios.

Eddie

Id have to agree with you there Ed i played with this unit a few years ago and did find some intresting sounds indeed is this q2 unit of yours voltage swichable as well as we use the same voltage as the uk 220- 240 volts here in australia

Somebody MUST have downloaded that audio file!

The Q2 was used to REPEAT the line "No one lives forever". The second time you hear that line is the delay from the Q2.

VERY clean delay. Startling clean.

Ed, Just FYI, I'm getting a "page cannot be displayed" this morning when I try your link. Is there another way to access it?

Oops!!! Nevermind WHAT the mistake was, but it was....LOL :)

I even quoted the sang line incorrectly too! LOL

Eddie

Ed can this units voltage be switched to use it in other country as the unit i saw years ago i didnt stop to check the back out so thats why i am asking if it has a voltage switch on board

It uses a "wall wart" that outputs 9VAC 20VA

The adapter that came with the unit uses 110VAC input.

You can probably get some kind of adapter that outputs what it needs.

Eddie

Ive contacted you re the q2 via the normal way i usually contact you Ed

OK, Ed- sorry to ask you instead of doing my own research, but...

Does either the Q or the Q2 have digital I/O? My little home setup is DAW based and I'd want to set up the Q or Q2 in a digital effects loop rather than an analog one. Either that or print the effects on the way in, which doesn't really excite me.

Thanks,
Chris

Eddie! I'll take the mutilcom, the Alesis Q, and the Tl Audio thing..
