Hi, looking for a reasonably priced pair of condencers for recording acoustic guitars and overhead micing a drumkit. Looking to spend around 200 quid I hope, any ideas on the best options? Cheers, Pete

Hi,

These are great mics for guitar and overheads. I got both of mine on ebay under $100. I don't think they're terribly expensive new.

Thanks,

Hairy Larry

CAD CTM-1000a they were $250 EACH just a couple weeks ago. Now they are being liquidated at $99 a SET.
They are branded as Astatic (CAD's parent company). They are also known as CAD Equitek e70.

Dual capsules, 3-position rolloff, and 3 position dB reduction make these VERY versatile. I recently bought a pair and I much prefer them to MXL 603 and my Meek JM27's.

Looks like a great deal but the OP is in the UK. :(

I'm gonna have to take a closer look at this one.

Hmm, that's quite the deal. Anyone have any clips recorded with them?
