Hello,
I am starting to do small gigs out in clubs and coffee houses (acoustic guitar and vocals). I have a Carvin 620 power mixer and Carvin 805's for speakers. I bought a small Kustom 10" Stage monitor and I need to get a power amp for it... I have low end stuff, I know, but I am curious about power amps... with only needing power for this little monitor (eventually maybe another one) can I get away with a 100 buck Nady power amp from Musicians Friend or should I save for a 200 plus one from a local store? I'll be using this rig about once a week but, again, only for the one monitor. Eventually I'll splurge on a Makie or Yamaha system but for now this is what I have... Oh yeah, I'm singing through a 58 and my guitar's a HD28..the only 2 good things in my set up I fear. Oh yeah...any thoughts about Carvin PAs while I'm at it?

Please and thank you...

Michael - Newbie...

you should try looking at the crown XLS202b which is being disc. and selling real cheap if you can find one (usually under $200.00) You will get a 3yr warr.(no fault) and a much better amp. Carvin pa gear is allright. I would probably buy something you can have serviced locally though
