now, as a microphone innovator, he is preeminent. as a musician, i like knowing that stephen is a recording artist creating microphones. i think it makes him more sensitive to the needs of the artist.
Well stated sir.

Oz, are you running a Roland recorder?

And as for that mic he's singing on... I want one. His vocals sound so much more real than what you hear on most recordings.
Blue,

It sounds pretty incredible to me as well. It has a real breathy quality to it. I wonder how the new Stephen Paul mic will compare to the ones used on those recordings. If they are comparable, we are in for a treat indeed.

Has there been any reports on the progress of the mic?

:)

this is the happiest funnest thread Ive seen in a long time

I dont know about being near the beatles, but...

maybe matt hoffman is too punch drunk to complete a sentence, but noone's gonna beat his ariel prowess

anyhow SP did save a KILLER quartet of M-49's though he grumbled when he learned their intended purpose, recording METAL bands :)

Now THAT'S songwriting at it's finest! :D

I am not into this argument, but "You need to do Stuart Smalley's daily affirmation"

that's a good line

Amazingly like another thread at another time where Csus7 got equally obnoxious and stubborn headed. Maybe they are both controlled by aliens hovering in an invisisble space ship. LOL I had a cousin (deceased) who at a very early age learned that if he pulled a bugger out of his nose and ate it that it got a big reaction from the grownups; he lived to be 56 and never got over that tendency.

Zeke/Taylor:

A little off-topic, but your reply to Chessrock was a pretty amazing piece of writing, from a stylistic/technique point of view. I think you are one of the few 18 year olds I've ever met with that kind of writing facility. (I am NOT being sarcastic!) If that had been my first exposure to you, I'm not sure I would have believed it if you told me you were 18. (I'm remembering that as your age, am I wrong?)

However your future in music turns out, your writing skills may well turn out to be an even more useful source of income...

Never mind Stephen Paul, Zeke is MY new hero!

I seem to remember he's about 15.
Either way Taylor's certainly a gifted writer, who well could make his mark...
like Stephen.

I had you mistaken for someone else. I just checked out your site. Pretty nice.

Chris & Dog,

I'm neither 15 nor 18. I just act like it sometimes. :o

Thanks for the compliments though. Sometimes I get highly irritated and once I get going I just can't seem to stop myself. I almost always look back and regret it after an exchange like the one in this thread.

Nurse!... NURSE!!!... We need our medication in here RIGHT NOWWWW!!!

Zekeman - Taylor,

If you're not too busy we could occasionally use your services over in the Cave. The pay sucks but you could keep your game sharp.

Surrender now chess - you're done.

I know they were talking about getting married at one point.

The both of them use to type these REALLY mushy notes to each other on the MP3.com BBS some years ago....it was quite sweet, actually...

I am still waiting for somebody to tell steven to take it to the MP3 forum:D . I was getting used to that kind of rudeness arround here.

Now before you judge Cheeserock, just remember that thread where he asked a perfectly nice question and Steven went off on him and left this board, making cheesy into a parriah arround here. So I dont blame him for being bitter.
