Steenamaroo

...
Since everyone else is doing it, here goes nothing.

Haven't even listened on speakers yet so I'm sure there are all sorts of surprises in there!

It's one of those slow build songs so please listen, or skip, to the end. :)

Enjoy.

Hum, some kind of glitch on listening, but what I heard (up to the 2:00ish mark), sounded good from my end. Based on those vocals you could do a killer Jim Croce ballad. Your vocals often had his tone.

Good cover.

You caught me mid upload DM60. Sorry about that.
Shame you didn't catch the ending. I killed the ending :p

That's me, boiii!
It's a little shaky here and there - Went for the best take of three and left it at that.

It's really good. I was all geared up for some nasal Belfast, but you gave a really good Cat Stevens style performance. I still think I'd like to hear you sing it in your own accent!

:p I know fake accent singing kinda sucks, but nowhere near as much as ugly Belfast singing.
Ever hear Snow Patrol or, worse yet, Duke Special. Not for me.

Thanks man. :)

I've heard a bit of Snow Patrol (they're played everywhere) - I thought they were American because of the accent!

And as for accents, I can't really sing in my natural accent. When I feel like I'm putting on a singing voice, that's actually going into an Americanish accent. Otherwise, I tend to emphasise it in a weird way, either sounding extra northern or extra southern, depending.

Good voice - put it on some of your own stuff now you've paid tribute.
Covers are for learning I suppose. Would've like an interpretation rather than homage though - punked up maybe?

Never was a huge Yusef fan myself, but this is reeeally well done.
Scary clean. Vocals sound great too.

Hey, thanks for that man!
I'm not really a big fan myself but I know the Tea for the Tillerman album pretty well.

I wouldn't say this is my favourite song but it's the one I thought I could get away with doing.
Thanks for the listen. :)
