Well, when he's older (right now he's on his third week) I can program him to like air tools and brunettes.

Until then its waaaa waaaa waaaa LOL

Don't mind me, I'm just frustrated with not having my former 8-9 hours of sleep.

I know the feeling........
PS. I think we hi-jacked this thread

i guess i still have a long time before i have kids of my own but i see my little brother and i wonder if he or my kids will ever like music/recording

hahaha just a week ago i introduced my 9 year old brother to recording. hes in charge of pressing "REC" and "STOP" while i play or set up mics. he just loves playin back the recording and listening thru headphones, he even says "hey it sounds nice" when my playing is pretty poor lol

What is scarier, is my father took one of the baby pictures, converted it to black and white, and sent it back with one of my baby pictures - he's my identical twin, just 37 years younger.

Truly scary.

Though he has my wife's toes :-D

Congrats Rick!!!!!!!!

Dispite his mouth being wide open in both pictures, he's not crying or screaming, just sleeping with his mouth open.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Though, on two early mornings (like, 2am) where he just didn't want to go to sleep and cried quite a bit, I took the recommendation of a friend and plopped him into the car seat, put him in the backseat of my crewcab, and we went for a ride. Probably due to the very loud pair of glasspacks, he was sound asleep before I got to the end of the street. So I see some middle-of-the-night truck idle time in the future. Guess he does like car stuff after all...

glasspacks... mmmmmmmmmm. It's funny, my wife has been begging me to take them off because they are so loud and rumbly... but now I've justified keeping them on the truck - baby snooozer device :D

Not too sure what my neighbors think about this, but then again I'm not a nice neighbor and don't care!

A big cam with huge over lap works too! My monster chief puts the baby to sleep but wakes the neighbors...guess you can't have it all. :D

Well, I broke in the new engine for the truck... its on a homemade engine test stand. 500 cids, 2200 RPM to break in the cam, flames right out the heads... no exhaust! 30 minutes.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

can't wait to put it in!

ummm...didn't think that's not good for valves. 2.2 k rpms maybe not so bad but MAN!!! THAT'S GONNA BE SICK LOUD LIKE A MACHINE GUN!!!

I like your attitude.

The valves actually don't care, all that the break in period is for is breaking in the cam lobes and the lifters... because they are new they have to rub on each other a bit to get their initial wear patterns in so I can vary the RPMs without causing damage. There is special moly grease used, and while it sounds simple the monitoring that is done is quite extensive. At least the way I do it. Usually I run engines on the stand at lower RPMs for about the same amount of time, however the cam grinder made it very clear, he wouldn't warranty the cam unless I blasted 2.2K rpms for 30 minutes, so of course I did.

So, now the engine assembly and testing is done. Next is to work the rest of the kinks out of the turbocharging system.

Just can't keep "well enough" alone, can ya frederic? HAHA! :)

............and to further high-jack...........
