Squealing Transfomer???

There is a small transformer on a PCB of a device I'm working on that makes a high-pitched squeal or hum or whine...whatever you want to call it. I'm baffled.

It is the yellow thingy in the picture:

transformer noise is normally a matter of a breakdown of the waxy shit that seals it... or in the case of power trannies and larger stuff the bolts that hold the cores together are loose and the cores separating... it's not unusual for trannies to make some noise in normal use... in your case??? who knows... ya got a schemo for that unit???

If it's from a device that's used in music in some way Cory ah, erm, um, perhaps it's just trying to whistle?....
