Spray adhesive and bass traps

Will using spray adhesive to mount cloth to 703 adversly (sp?) effect performance?

I read a question and answer regarding resins and adhesives for this purpose on an acoustic forum! Ethan Winer suggested the spray adhesive may have a slightly reflective property but if used sparingly should not be a problem.

I think it would depend how much adhesive you put on. In mild desperation, I recently painted a piece of 703 ( because the yellow 703 was showing through the guilford fabric a bit too much and wreaking havoc with the color scheme (!) I can say it definately made the 703 more reflective.

I'm asuming that you need adhesive as you'll have no frame. In that case, I'd recommend using the adhesive just on the back side. That will give you the hold you need and still not impact the front surface.

Yeah, you could put it arounf the edge in the back and spray an X from corner to corner to help hold it together but do it in the back.

I'm about to get some 703 and do the same but I have to paint the doors upstairs in my house before my wife will release the funds.
I buy the paint today.
