MadAudio
Damned if I do
I avoided installing Service Pack 2 on my computer for ages because I had read that many people had experienced issues with recording once they did so themselves. And then my GF bought me an iPod Touch for Xmas, and the only way I could use it was to install SP2. So I reluctantly did. And ever since then, I have experienced random crashes while using Vegas (version 5). I tried installing the newest drivers for my Layla 24/96, but that only resulted in no audio at all. Going to the restore point solved that, and the recording session I had after that attempt saw no crashes at all (but I'm guessing that's just luck). But these crashes have only occurred with Vegas.
Any advice? I'm running XP Pro, 2 Echo Layla 24/96 cards, and mostly Sony (Sonic Foundry) software.
