In the owner's manual, one is warned about the B1 getting damp. But how damp is damp? I like to keep my mikes setup all the time on their booms that are on my third floor. The space has A/C, but I don't like to use it 24/7. Is average summer humidity in Connecticut enough to cause a problem?

Use ziploc (or similar) plastic bags when not in use. Just put the ziploc bag all over the mic while its standing on the boom, and use the seal on the bag to, well somewhat seal the mic. Its a trick I saw at some studio.

The B1s are packaged with a ziploc type bag, that work well for keeping your mic protected when not in use. But if you like to leave it on the stand a larger bag would work better if you don't like to take it on and off the stand.

When your Studio Projects B1 mic gets damp, just dry it out under a 100-watt light bulb for about 6 hours or so... and do whatever you need to keep dust out of your B1.

I'd just throw it in the clothes dryer for about 30 minutes :)

Is the mike supposed to bank around that much in the dryer? Or is there a special "dryer clamp" I can get?

I've heard that some guys like to do a light baking of their microphones? I've never done this myself...
