I just intercepted a bunch of small rugs and carpet-sample boards before they hit the trash. I would like to use them to help deaden sound in our "tin can" practice space. Does anyone have any idea of how to suspend these against corrugated aluminum walls? thanks...

Nail the stuff to 2x4s and hang it by wire or hooks from the ceiling.

Build a....

Perhaps you could put furring strips from floor to ceiling.... cut 2x4s in half or even use 1x1s. Then you can staple the carpet samples to the vertical strips.
This way you'd only have to attach something in two places; floor and ceiling. If you have the space to spare, put horizontal spacer trim on ceiling and baseboard to push your furring strips out as far into the room as possible.

You could even roll fiberglass insulation batting behind it then if you put your furring strips 16" or 24" on center.... Muchos sound absorbtion.

You have to leave part of one wall open anyway. Don't kill that Tin Wall sound... It sounds like a unique room.

Put the carpet and rugs on the floor. About the only thing you can do for metal sided buildings is to put another wall inside them. If this is not an option you might try liquid nail or a similar adhesive to glue the carpet to the siding, this might help to deaden some of the ringing boominess or tinnyness of the walls. Baffles and traps in the corners will help a lot but metal walls are a pain in the ears (and other places too)
