SF is locking up when scanning for plugins.

Ctrl+Shift held down at application launch = not helping
What is the procedure to run SF without scanning the entire Hard Drive for VST plugins?
 
Hmm, I'm pretty sure there's a setting in the preferences where you can choose the VST plugin folders? Perhaps there's some kind of plugin that's loading and causing SF to crash? Installed anything new lately?
