How do you hook em up?? ie: get the sound out of them?? Im after an Emu Mo Phatt and Im not sure if what i have will work with it. Ideally Id like to be able to sample it on my Korg ESmkII sampler/sequencer (it has midi, but i still dont know what midi is ive never needed it until maybe now?). Id like to be able to play all the presets through this box (or my basic yamaha keyboard? It has midi also?) or do i have to buy one of those controller workstation keyboards or something...?

Totally lost! Can anyone help!?

Thanks

I highly recommend this:

The short answer:
If you just want to be able to play the thing, you will need a MIDI device with a keyboard (the yamaha should work) - the keyboard will send information (play this note at this velocity, now release it, etc.) to the module, and the module will convert it to audio. You'll need to connect the MIDI out on the keyboard to the MIDI in on the module (this will probably "just work," but you'll want to read the MIDI sections of the manuals to get the most out of your rig).

Thanks man! much appreciated. You dont know how dumb one feels asking how midi works and how to hook up a rack unit!!
