I'm a newbie to recording with the computer. I need solid advice on a compatible but versitle sound card. I've checked the Echo requirements and my computer is up to standard. Equipment list that I own now: Tascam 564, Art dual tube mic preamp, Alesis dual comp, Alesis dual 31 band EQ, Fostex DAT, Audio Technica 4033, RCA 77 DX, numerous EV dynamic mics (308's 408's).
We play Bluegrass music, all acoustic, and like to use the 4033 to cover the group ensemble sound. I'm pretty pleased in the recordings we are doing, but I need help learning how to transfer this through a sound card to the computer to be able to try to finish or master the recordings before transfering them to DAT.
Suggestions for software to master these recordings would also be appreciated.
I would also like to get a soundcard with multiple inputs'outputs in case we would like to do a multi-track recording at a later time.
Any help would be much appreciated.
